Baltimore Welcomes You to the ACFE Global Fraud Conference!

Tom Noonan, President and CEO of Visit Baltimore offers a warm welcome and good advice to attendees of the ACFE Global Fraud Conference.

We are thrilled to welcome you to Baltimore for the 26th Annual ACFE Global Fraud Conference. Whether you feast on steamed crabs, stroll through our diverse neighborhoods, take a boat cruise through the Inner Harbor, or catch an Orioles game at Camden Yards, we hope that your visit will be successful and enjoyable.

Here in Baltimore we are known for our beautiful Inner Harbor, distinct neighborhoods, unique museums and the best seafood on the East Coast. Baltimore is one of America’s oldest cities and boasts a rich history that can be explored by visiting our various historical attractions, such as Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine, the birthplace of our national anthem.

The Baltimore Convention Center is conveniently located a short walk away from the Inner Harbor, the heart of the city. The free Charm City Circulator bus can also take you to Baltimore’s various neighborhoods, including the Inner Harbor, Federal Hill, Mount Vernon and Fell’s Point. These neighborhoods can also be discovered and explored easily by foot.

Among the newest attractions to visit are the Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, Baltimore’s first and only state-of-the-art casino, and the Black Tip Reef and new Living Seashore exhibit at the National Aquarium, where you will encounter two large touch pools and come face-to-face with sea creatures.

We also invite you to visit our world-class museums, including the American Visionary Art Museum, the nation’s only art museum dedicated to untrained visionary artists, the B&O Railroad Museum, or the Walters Art Museum and the Baltimore Museum of Art; both of which offer free general admission.

Exploring our city will no doubt work up your appetite. Some of our culinary highlights include the Little Italy neighborhood, fine dining in Harbor East, seafood in the Inner Harbor, or farm-to-table fare in Hampden. One particular menu item you do not want to miss while you are in Baltimore is the Maryland Blue Crab – we even have a section on our website devoted to finding the best crab restaurants in the city.

Don’t forget to show your badge! Many participating restaurants and attractions are providing special offers for ACFE Global Fraud Conference attendees.  Best wishes for a productive meeting and an enjoyable visit to Baltimore.
