2024 Chapter Community Service and Outreach Award: Middle Tennessee Chapter
/The Chapter Community Service and Outreach Award is presented to an ACFE chapter that has contributed to and volunteered in projects that improved their community. This award recognizes local chapters that demonstrate a commitment of time or donations to charitable causes or organizations.
The Middle Tennessee Chapter participated in several worthwhile causes that had a tremendous impact on their local community. They volunteered their time at the local Second Harvest Food Bank, helping to pack boxes for the hungry. The Middle Tennessee Chapter also asked their local members to donate to this cause, and the chapter matched the members’ donations.
The chapter donated $13,500 in scholarships to seven local middle Tennessee students interested in fraud-fighting careers. The chapter’s six-person scholarship committee meets regularly in the spring to design the application, review submissions and qualifications and select winners. They also donated $15,000 to the ACFE Foundation, benefiting the future of anti-fraud education.
Every November, the Middle Tennessee Chapter also participates in International Fraud Awareness Week. The chapter’s activities include hosting a webinar training and sharing Fraud Week awareness on their website, social media and via email blasts.
Congratulations to the Middle Tennessee Chapter!
