Chapter of the Year and Chapter Website of the Year Awards

ACFE local chapters are organized by dedicated members residing in a particular geographic region (i.e., a city, state or country) who share an interest in the detection and deterrence of fraud. Chapters act as local representatives of the ACFE, providing continued support for members worldwide. Chapters help fraud fighters stay at the forefront of local anti-fraud issues and emerging trends. The ACFE has more than 196 chapters in 80 countries, and we are excited to honor two of these chapters for their hard work and dedication this past year.

The ACFE annually presents the Chapter of the Year Award to the chapter that has gone above and beyond to grow and serve its membership. This award is decided by members of the Chapter Leaders Committee.

The Chapter Website of the Year Award is awarded to a chapter who produces a website that promotes the CFE credential, provides readers with anti-fraud resources, and includes features allowing chapter members to stay connected and engaged. This award is decided by members of the Chapter Leaders Committee.

Since 2020, the South Florida Chapter has increased their membership from 72 to 311. They took the initiative to introduce a revenue sharing program with other ACFE chapters that allocates a portion of revenue from jointly promoted events back to other chapters — which has resulted in providing more than $55,000 to more than 60 chapters. They also donated $10,000 to the ACFE Foundation and volunteered for other charitable causes in South Florida. For all these reasons and more, we are proud to present the ACFE South Florida Chapter with the Chapter of the Year Award.

The Chapter Website of the Year award is given to a chapter that has developed a user-friendly website that provides up-to-date content that helps anti-fraud professionals fight fraud. The New York Chapter overhauled their site this year to make it more visually appealing and optimized for all devices. They’ve simplified where to find information on their site regarding their events, ACFE events and recent fraud articles — both locally and globally. Congratulations to the ACFE New York Chapter for being named this year’s Chapter Website of the Year.
